How to Beat Bakir, the Mad Khan
Brencis's commander over southwestern Vale Sangora, fought at Lunar Manor during The Lunar Game — unlocked by maxing his anger in the court activities. Bakir opens as a brawler and escalates into a blood-magic spammer. The fight is really two: win the fist phase with parries, survive the magic phase with footwork.
Fight plan
- Phase 1 (fists): his punches are slow and heavily telegraphed — Right Hook, Right Uppercut and Overhead Punch are all parryable. This is your best damage window in the whole fight; bank it.
- Don't chase the teleports. He evasive-teleports out of your combos. Short strings, then reset your guard.
- Phase 2 (blood magic): his spells are all unblockable. Movement, not defense stats, keeps you alive now.
- Blood Fissures: straight-line eruptions. Sidestep out of the lines and close in — or hit him with Dirty Trick to stun and interrupt the cast. That interrupt is the single highest-value trick in this fight.
- Bat Dive: blood bats fly toward you, then dive. Dodge late, when they're about to hit — dodging early lets them track you.
- Final phase: both spells come faster. Never stand still; circle the room and take only brief, obvious openings.
