Anca: Romance & Questline Guide
The herbalist from Laslea Glen, Coen's oldest friend, and the first person who helps him find where his family is held. Anca is the most patient of the three romance options — she teaches Coen to read, and keeps one secret that takes the whole game to surface.
Her questline, in order
- Page-Turner
- Echoes of Silenced Bells
- Between the Words
- Where Old Devils Lie
- Stronger than Achilles
Prologue: Page-Turner (the 11-herb storm)
- Fetching Esme's herbs is your first meeting. Staying to practice Latin costs an extra time segment — it is a flirt opportunity but has no effect on romance later, so time-poor runs can safely take “I really have to go”.
- If you stay: insist on reading the book with the red cover for the more intimate dialogue.
- When the storm hits, save all 11 of her herbs (autocomplete suggests many players miss some — “anca recipe” and “ancas herbs” are searched for a reason). A full save makes a strong impression; a partial one is not fatal.
Echoes of Silenced Bells
The convent quest — Anca's past with the nuns. The ending of this quest does not affect your relationship, but completing it opens a flirt opportunity in the next one.
Between the Words (the declaration)
- While reading together, offer to make the tea and choose It's my pleasure.
- After the books, choose Always? What do you mean? then Your feelings towards me — it's more than just faith — this is the direct declaration of interest.
Where Old Devils Lie
Ask what she discovered in the books, thank her for her help, and ask what she sees you as. She acknowledges the bond — then pulls the conversation back to the mission. Classic Anca.
Stronger than Achilles (the choice that matters most)
Back at the inn (romance scene)
After Stronger than Achilles, if you declared earlier, talk to her at the inn and choose I meant what I said, then Screw decency, I want you too. After the kiss, Not sure I got that. One more time? leads to the romance scene.
